Wild Animal Sanctuary

In Colorado, there is a place called the Wild Animal Sanctuary - and I LOVE it there.

One of my long distance Camera Lenses broke, and I had to send it in to be fixed, so I used an older lens, that I haven't had much practice on.  I find that going out and really focusing on using that one lens really helps me get the feel of it.... so 500 photos later.... I love it again.

Here are some of my favorite shots of the day at the Sanctuary

Lions:

Check out the look on that guys face!!

He says to the top lion "Seriously , dude, what did you eat????"

Tigers:

These two were just too cute

And then their tongues - oh wow - I would run!

and!!!

Bears:

Look at how intent he is - He made it into the pool, now I think he is playig Bear Ninja Games in his mind and trying to figure out how to get through the tire!

And he says - THAT is MY hat!!! I dare you to take it from me!!

See - Lions and Tigers and Bears - Oh My!

  1. Fun photos. Don't know what it is with those long lenses. My Guy had to send his back a couple of years ago to get it fixed.

  2. Oh how I love tigers! I have to go to this place next year. My husband bought me a huge stuffed tiger many years ago. It fits on a twin bed! Thank you for the information and the great pictures!!

  4. I think I have seen advertisement for this place on Sunset magazine. It would be nice to visit. Seems like bears like water. They have been found in pools lately in Southern California.

  7. You've captured those animals beautifully. Last time I went to a zoo all the big cats were asleep!
