Ground Perspective

In another Challenge Group - the Challenge was to get a photo from a Ground Perspective.

When you are as tall as I am - that ground sure is a long way down!!  I was at my sons Cross Country meet, and all the kids were running over a hill. I thought "This is my chance"  I only had to get down 3/4 of the way and got a cool perspective!

That's my kid ( he is nice to allow me to photograph him)  and I like him ;-)

Happy

This little guy was just so Happy - climbing up the stairs and right back down - with Daddy close behind.

I was asked to take some photos of the senior runners for the Home meet - what a blast!! These two are hilarious!!

 They were so much fun to photograph!! They just have the most beautiful smiles!

And school spirit!!! Gotta LOVE that!!!

We made these photos into 16 x 20's and they proudly displayed them at their meet. At which - the girls team took first place!!!

It's Softball Season

I covered the first home softball game of the season here in our town.

 I LOVE the excitement of what the new season will bring.!

 It is a challenge shooting through the fence sometimes.

And making sure the ball is not coming straight at you!

I love sports photography. Not only is there great action, but it is fun to catch what is going on!

Running Races

In our town there is a 5K race, that is hosted by the High School Cross Country team. Not only is the race fun to watch, but the pre-race excitement, the post-race finishes, and the middle of the race chases, are great to be a part of.

I love the excitement, and the camaraderie of it all.... and not to mention - the chocolate milk at the end!

Swimming Photography

I love Sports Photography!!  This time of year was all about swimming for a lot of athletes.

I enjoyed heading to the pool and watching the competition and the camaraderie!


Here are a few shots of the swimmers:

 Action shots are my favorite. I think to show an athlete in motion is to capture the essence of the competition.

 And of course, watching the stroke and catching the dynamic of the stroke shows the work it takes!
