Growing up my Mom had THE largest strawberry patch in the neighborhood .
Every summer we had so many strawberries ! She put them in everything . And froze them and canned them and made jam and pies. Oh! And she made fruit leathers ( like roll ups - only healthier)
She also used her strawberry patch to get rid of us kids . She'd hand us a shoebox and tell us to go pick strawberries - but not to come back until it was full.
So Mothers day- we planted strawberries .... I hope she sends some strawberry love down from heaven and makes these grow like hers did
