Family Portraits

I love that people still send Christmas Cards!!! I Love getting them in the mail. I make a card chain and drape it across my back windows - so I can see all the beautiful families.

I was so Tickled when this family contacted me to do their family portraits. They are truly an amazing family. Sadly they lost their home in our September Floods. Their attitudes are just amazing. Even though they are having to rebuild, replace and just survive - they never complain!

Here is a little Sneak Peak into their session:

Interested in booking a Family Session? Message me and we can arrange that!

December 3rd - Silver

I love to follow the Photo A Day prompts... and today's was silver. My Tree is a wonderful subject - but then I took the photo and played with it.  I am not sure what I think - but I had a lot of fun seeing how I could manipulate an ornament. Bet you can't guess the original color?

Senior Portraits

Most of my Senior Portrait Sessions are the Senior and myself. We make an appointment that works for both of us. I am not opposed to having a parent come along, it just seems to be harder to schedule.

This Seniors Mother came along.

The interaction and the respect from this Senior to his Mother - BLEW! ME! Away!
His parents did a fabulous job teaching this young man respect.

I always had respect for this Senior, he has helped my younger kids with their 4H projects, But I really wasn't prepared for the amazing way he took care of his mom. And me - seriously made my heart happy.

We had a great time trekking around the river area. This was after our flooding, so it was quite interesting to see how the landscape had changed, and how to use that in the photos.
The photo under the railroad tracks was a little tricky. The water hadn't completely receded and it was a challenge to get to the tracks. You could see how high the water had risen during our floods.

Thanks for visiting!

We have had the BEST luck in choosing our Photo Shoots... The night after finishing this one, snow moved in, and the next day there was 4 inches.

I had a great time with this senior. He is such a great young man! Here is a peek of his photo shoot:

Didn't we pick a great day?

Don't forget - you might want some updated family photos for this years Christmas cards and family newsletters... give me a shout if I can help!

A Set of Seniors

These two are seniors this year! I have known them since ...forever.... or at least since Kindergarten. Maybe even pre-school.... but who is counting?

It was such fun to have a photo shoot with them. We trekked all over, and I really enjoyed myself ;-)

The only problem was.... choosing the most favorite photo. These two are so photogenic.... and good looking... it was a challenge!!!

Fog

Fridays Prompt was WTF - so I interpreted that to mean: What? The Fog?

When I headed out to the deck - there was a huge fog bank over the Platte River:
I was quite glad to not drive through it!

From My Childhood

I am participating in a Photo A Day Challenge for the month of September. Today's Prompt was:

From my Childhood

My childhood wasn't that long ago.... sort of.... but it took me a moment to think of what I would want to photograph... here is what I came up with:

From My Childhood
This is my stuffed horse! As a child... okay even as an adult - I am crazy about horses. It is any wonder I married a Cowboy??

You can see some of the other Photo A Day Photos Here.

It's Softball Season

I covered the first home softball game of the season here in our town.
I LOVE the excitement of what the new season will bring.!

It is a challenge shooting through the fence sometimes.

And making sure the ball is not coming straight at you!

The intensity of the game.

Watching how the new players will do.
I love sports photography. Not only is there great action, but it is fun to catch what is going on!

Running Races

In our town there is a 5K race, that is hosted by the High School Cross Country team. Not only is the race fun to watch, but the pre-race excitement, the post-race finishes, and the middle of the race chases, are great to be a part of.
The serious groups from Bell's Running

Getting in position for the start

Moving out at the start

The pack

Running for the lead

The strong finish - and THE RIBBON

I love the excitement, and the camaraderie of it all.... and not to mention - the chocolate milk at the end!
